Personal AI sommelier for iPhone

A personal sommelier for the wine shelf

Rate the wines you've tried, and the sommelier remembers your taste. In another country the shops and producers are new, but your taste travels with you: photograph the whole shelf and the wines line up around it. The sweetness, colour and budget you set always hold; your ratings decide what comes first.

iPhone · iOS 18 or later · Nine languages

How it works

Set your taste, photograph the shelf — and get a short list of wines worth a closer look.

  1. App screenshot: the Your taste sheet, with wine types to tick (red, white, rosé, sparkling, orange, fortified) and a sweetness scale from dry to sweet.

    01

Set your taste — and change it whenever you like.

Dry to sweet; red, white, rosé, orange, sparkling or fortified; and a budget. The more precise your taste — say, just “red, dry” — the closer the match. Riesling in summer, red in winter: next time, simply change it. Change your mind at the shelf, and the shelf is re-ranked right there.

  2. App screenshot: a photographed wine shelf with numbered frames around the bottles, and the ranked list below it.

    02

One photo of the whole shelf.

Photograph the shelf from close enough that you could read the labels yourself. AI reads them and ranks the wines by your taste.

  3. App screenshot: the ranked wines as a list, each with price, region, grape and a sentence saying why it was ranked there.

    03

Each suggestion comes with a reason.

Prices are read off the shelf tags, or estimated and marked as such when a tag can't be read.

  4. App screenshot: the My wines screen, with wines to try and wines you rated, each dated.

    04

The sommelier remembers what you tried.

Rate a wine you've tried as Not for me, Liked it or Loved it. It is saved in My wines and counts as evidence of your taste: the next shelves are ranked with it in mind. A rating nudges the order and never hides a wine. The sweetness, colour and budget you set always hold.

  5. App screenshot: the History screen, a list of past scans, each with a shelf thumbnail, date and time, and the number of wines found.

    05

    No account. No sign-up.

History and My wines live on your phone. No name or email is asked for.

What it does

A few things, done plainly.

  • Ranks by your taste

Choose how dry or sweet, which colours (red, white, rosé, orange, sparkling, fortified) and what you are willing to spend. The shelf is ranked against that.

  • Learns from your ratings

What you rate in My wines weighs in on every shelf you scan afterwards.

  • Reads prices, and says when it guessed

Prices come off the shelf tags. When a tag can't be read, the price is estimated and marked as an estimate.

  • No account

No sign-up, no name, no email. Open the app and photograph the shelf.

  • In nine languages

English, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Ukrainian.

  • Honest about its limits

Recommendations are generated by AI from a photograph, so they can be wrong. For alcohol content, allergens and origin, read the bottle.

Free and Pro

Free

The first scans are free, enough to try it on a real shelf.

Pro

Pro raises the allowance and unlocks the full history. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel any time in App Store settings.

Current prices and allowances are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Where it helps

In another country

The shops and producers are new, your taste is not: your ratings stay in the app, and shelf prices are weighed against your budget even when the shop's currency isn't yours.

In the shop

At the shelf, one photo is enough to see which wines suit your taste and budget, each with a reason.

Remembering what you liked

Rate a wine once. It is saved in My wines on your phone and shapes the next shelf you scan.

Questions people ask

Which app recognises wine from a photo of a whole shelf?

Easy Wine App for iPhone, a wine label scanner. You photograph a wine shelf, it reads the labels it can see and ranks the wines against your taste (sweetness, colour) and budget, with a reason for each suggestion.

How can an app help me choose wine in a supermarket?

Photograph the wine shelf in front of you. Easy Wine App reads the labels it can see, ranks the wines by the sweetness, colour and budget you set and gives a short reason for each suggestion, so you can compare a few wines calmly before deciding. It is an AI and can be wrong, so check the bottle itself before you buy.

Does it work in another country?

Yes. The app speaks nine languages, shows prices in the shop's own currency, as on the tags, and weighs them against your budget at the going rate. Your ratings are stored on your phone and count the same wherever you are. The app knows only the shelf in front of you, not the shop, and it can be wrong, so check the bottle before you buy.

Does it need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no name or email is asked for. Your scan history and My wines are stored on your phone.

Is it accurate?

Recommendations are generated by AI from a photograph, so they can be wrong. Check the bottle in your hand before you buy, and read the bottle rather than the app for anything that matters: alcohol content, allergens such as sulphites, and origin.

What happens to my photo?

To read a shelf, the photo is sent through our server to an AI model (Google Gemini) and is kept only as long as the scan needs it. History and My wines stay on your phone. The privacy policy has the details.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. It installs on iPad in an iPhone-sized window.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. The app is for iPhone for now. If there is enough demand, an Android version may follow.

Which languages does it support?

Nine: English, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Ukrainian.

Is it free?

The first scans are free, enough to try it on a real shelf. Pro raises the allowance and unlocks the full history; it is a subscription that renews automatically and can be cancelled any time in App Store settings.

Does it take commissions or promote particular wines?

No. Easy Wine App has no commissions, no paid placements and no partner links. Wines are ranked only by how well they match your taste and budget.
